最終日のNocturne 3では、ジャンルやスタイルを超えた多彩なパフォーマンスが集結し、会場を祝祭的な熱気で包み込みます。kyokaとサカナクションのベーシスト草刈愛美とによるデュオのアンビエントライブ。グラミー賞ノミネートやSoulwax主宰DEEWEEからの最新アルバムのリリースで注目を集めるMarie Davidsonが待望の初来日を果たします。

オープンリール式テープレコーダーを楽器として演奏する和田永が率いるOpen Reel Ensemble。さらに、Scotch Rolexこと石原シゲルと元King Midas Soundのキキ・ヒトミによるデュオWaqWaq Kingdomは、ダンスホールやテクノ、ポリリズムなどを融合した独自のサウンドにボーカルを加え、独特のユーモアを表現します。モントリオール出身のプロデューサーGuillaume Coutu-DumontとビジュアルアーティストのLine KatchoによるコンセプチュアルなAVパフォーマンス「Les Empires」、ベルリン拠点のMakoto InoueによるテクノAVライブセットも展開。

最後はSatoshi Tomiie、Kuniyuki Takahashi、Manami Sakamotoによる即興演奏とダンスミュージック、映像が融合したライブセッションで、「MUTEK.JP Edition 10」のフィナーレを飾ります。

About Nocturne 3

On the final night, Nocturne 3 brings together a diverse lineup of performances that transcend genre and style, filling the venue with a celebratory energy to close the festival.

The evening opens with an ambient live set by kyoka and Ami Kusakari (bassist of Sakanaction) as the duo Ukabu Oto: superposition. Making her long-awaited Japan debut, Marie Davidson, known for her Grammy nomination and acclaimed releases on Soulwax’s DEEWEE label, presents a powerful live performance.

Open Reel Ensemble, led by Ei Wada, transforms reel-to-reel tape recorders into instruments, creating unique electro-acoustic textures. The Japan–Germany duo WaqWaq Kingdom, featuring Shigeru Ishihara (Scotch Rolex) and Kiki Hitomi (formerly of King Midas Sound), blends dancehall, techno, and polyrhythms with vocals and eccentric humor to create their unmistakable sound.

From Montreal, Guillaume Coutu-Dumont and visual artist Line Katcho deliver the conceptual audiovisual performance Les Empires, while Berlin-based Makoto Inoue presents an immersive techno AV live set.

The night — and MUTEK.JP Edition 10 — concludes with an improvised live session by Satoshi Tomiie, Kuniyuki Takahashi, and Manami Sakamoto, uniting live performance, dance music, and visuals into a powerful, spontaneous finale.
